Siberian Irises begin blooming in early April in the south, and about a week later for every 100 miles farther north. They need full sunshine and lots of water, and don’t mind “”wet feet,”" making them perfect for waterside plantings of all types. Particularly profusely flowering where winters are cold, they are hardy in all but the hottest, driest regions of the U.S.Space plants about 12 to 18 inches apart. It will spread over time and may be divided into many new plants every few years.
