Prunella ‘Freelander Blue’

From late spring through the middle of autumn, it sets new clusters of violet-blue blooms all over the place. It is grown as a groundcover, but it may become one of your favorite flowering perennials, too.One of the longest-blooming plants in any garden, its 2-inch bloom clusters attract butterflies and bees. The stems can reach up to 10 inches high, held above the 7-inch-high foliage of dark green. ‘Freelander Blue’ is a quick spreader, reaching 18 to 24 inches wide to really cover some ground!Great as edging, in the border, and even in containers, this perennial thrives in full sun to partial shade.
