Bold White Stripes in the Shade.
The foliage waterfalls beautifully along pathways and in the border.
Japanese Forest Grass is a slow-growing, beautifully ornamental addition to the partly shaded garden, and this white-striped variety is just the ticket for brightening those dark pathways and murky borders. Each long, elegant green leaf is striped with white, forming a lively waterfall of color that looks splendid three seasons out of every year.
Slowly reaching 15 inches tall and 2 feet wide, White Hakone Grass is the ideal size for containers as well as garden culture. Space them about 15 to 18 inches apart and let them slowly grow together to form an elegant edging.
Easy to grow in partial to full shade and moist, enriched soil, White Hakone Grass is one of the few ornamental grasses that really thrives in shade. It looks splendid alongside Hosta, and other shade-loving perennials.
Versatile and adaptable, this is an ornamental grass you shouldn’t do without! Zones 6-9.
