Royal Red Bells Beneath a Whimsical Green Crown!
An imposing addition to the spring bulb garden – with 2- to 4-foot bloom stalks in mid-spring!
(Heirloom, 1590). Up to 10 pendulous bell-shaped scarlet-orange blooms encircle the top of sturdy 2 1/2- to 3-foot stems finished off with a whimsical crown of grassy green leaves. Fritillaria like a sunny spot and good, rich soil where they can be left undisturbed for years. Aurora is ideal for naturalizing, very easy to grow, and magnificent in the garden. Its foliage has a slight musky scent that deters squirrels, deer, and other garden pests. Zones 4-8.
