A “Mid-Size” Pink Delphinium that Never Needs Staking!

Put away those cumbersome stakes and twine–this mini pink Delphinium never needs support!

The delphinium bloom stalks are about a foot long atop 24- to 28-inch plants, with flowers crowded all long the spike for a very bushy, colorful effect. The only choice for the front of the border or for smaller gardens, where vertical color without too much height is appreciated. Magic Fountain blooms in early to midsummer. If started indoors in late winter, this Delphinium should bloom late in the season its first year, then on schedule thereafter.

It does best in full sun or, in warmer climates, partial shade. Once the plant is established, shear it back almost to the ground right after flowering to encourage a second bloom in fall. Delphinium also appreciates a year-round mulch.
