The Best Shasta for Cut Flowers.
These double blooms are petal-packed for a frizzy, frilly look.
Daisy ‘Sante’ is the best Shasta we have ever seen for cut flowers. The stems are exceptionally thick and sturdy, providing a few extra days of color and excellent support in the vase. The flowers are large, fully double, and packed with frizzy petals that give the flowers a rounded, pompon look. If you love to cut blooms from your garden, this is new Leucanthemum you MUST try. Rather than the traditional daisy shape of most Shastas, ‘Sante’ has a pompon above a large, frilly skirt of outer petals. The inner petals are twisted, short, slender, and notched, creating a frazzled look.
These blooms are large and very abundant, offering many weeks of bright color indoors or out.’Sante’ is a compact plant, just 26 inches tall and about 18 inches wide. It’s ideal for the middle of the sunny perennial border, and for cutting and cottage gardens. Give it plenty of sunshine and enriched, well-drained soil for best flowering. It tolerates heat and humidity well, and is a vigorous grower.Complementing every other color in the garden, ‘Sante’ offers a wealth of crisp white color just when the garden needs it most!
Zones 4-9.
