This Dwarf Begins Blooming at 2 Feet Tall!
Showy 3-inch flowers — as big as on a full-sized tree!
All the beauty of a majestic Dogwood in just 8 feet of garden space! Beginning at a very early age, this dwarf selection of the native Cherokee Princess offers spectacular white blooms a full 3 inches across, followed by deep green foliage and red fruit. Hardy, vigorous, and wonderfully tolerant of heat and humidity, Little Princess is a miniature treasure you must grow for yourself to believe. Emerging in late spring before the leaves, the crisp white blooms appear to be larger than they actually are, diminishing their slender branches by comparison.
Little Princess is very floriferous, the blooms crowding along bare stems in glorious profusion. And expect them to begin when the tree is still quite young!Bred by noted Tennessee plantsman Don Shadow, Little Princess is available only from Wayside. As an early-blooming, floriferous, dwarf native American Dogwood, it is in a class by itself. Now, no matter what sized garden you have, you can enjoy the splendor of one of our finest native trees! Space our 2-year-old trees about 6 feet apart in moist, well-drained soil exposed to full sun or light shade. Water well during growth, after which this Dogwood will be virtually carefree. Hardy in zones 5-9.”
