Add to this a dwarf plant habit that makes Blue Light® perfect for containers and other small spaces, and you’ve got the best thing that’s happened to the American garden in a long, long time.

Descended from one of the all-time favorite varieties — classic Mrs. Cholmondeley — Blue Light® offers plenty of pale blue blooms, some tinged with violet, measuring 5 to 6 inches across. The flowers open first from spring through early summer, then again from late summer till fall.

Unlike many other large-flowered varieties, however, Blue Light® is compact enough for container culture, growing only 6 to 8 feet tall! Foliage is bold and healthy on strong vines. Selected in Holland by Frans Van Heasteert. Plant in full sun to light shade in any well-drained, rich soil. Zones 4-9.
