Enormous Blooms on Petite PlantsPerfect for cutting or garden enjoyment.

A wonderfully flamboyant Shasta Daisy, this European native boasts huge 3 1/2-inch semi-double blooms on plants that are scarcely a foot tall and wide. Ideal for cutting, they arise profusely all summer, making ‘Goldrausch’ a standout in garden or container.

These blooms may remind you of Sunflowers, with their widely-spaced outer petals of pure white, notched at the tips and of differing lengths and sizes. They provide a crisp, fresh backdrop to the inner ring of shorter, slightly twisted, slender petals of yellow and gold, surrounding a large amber-gold cone. A single bloom adds distinction to an indoor arrangement, and a whole vase full is almost an embarrassment of riches.

Like all Shastas, ‘Goldrausch’ appreciates plenty of sunshine and excellent drainage. Just 14 inches high and 12 inches wide, it is very well-branched and vigorous, reblooming eagerly when the first flowers are cut or deadheaded. Expect a long season of exciting form and extra-large blooms from this compact perennial.

Zones 4-9.

Nonstop Lavender-Blue Blooms for Months one of the finest plants introduced in the past 50 years. Blooms from early summer till frost. You will wonder how you ever got along without this long-blooming, easy-care plant. Blue flowers are always welcome in the garden and this Aster will give you more radiant lavender-blue than you ever though possible. From early summer till fall frost, these many-branched plants bear masses of 2-inch blooms, each boasting a dense circlet of narrow petals surrounding a cheery greenish-yellow center. Superb for cutting, they are also unbelievably colorful in a mass garden display.

The plants reach just 18 to 20 inches high, so you need never worry about staking them. And if you want even more blooms, pinch the branches back in spring and again a month later. Long-lived and trouble-free, this perennial asks only full sun to part shade in ordinary, reasonable well-drained soil. Attracts butterflies too.

Zones 5-9.

Rated one of the top perennials of all time for color, flower power, and easy care. If you ever see a more attractive, longer-blooming Aster than Monch, buy it at once! Garden experts agree that it is one of the all-time great performers, sending up gorgeous flowers over an astoundingly long season. And such flowers, Perfect blue daisies, 1 1/2 inches across and packed with skinny petals around a handsome chartreuse eye, they complement all the pinks, reds, and whites of the garden, and last a long time on the plant or in the vase.

Beginning in midsummer and continuing until hard frost, this modest little 2-foot plant is dotted with cheerful blooms. Asking only full sun and well-drained soil, it needs no special treatment, though if you pinch it back in the spring and once more about a month later, you’ll get even more flowers. Like all hardy Asters, Monch is long-lived and essentially trouble-free — the only difference being its bloom season, which is almost TWICE that of its cousins Blue flowers are always welcome in the garden and in arrangements, and there is no easier nor more plentiful source than Monch. I firmly believe that this plant belongs in any garden with 2 feet of sunshine to spare.

And once you begin enjoying the blooms, you’ll agree.Space the plants 15 to 18 inches apart. To keep the flowering super-profuse, divide the plants every 3 to 4 years.

Zones 5-9.

America’s No. 1 Daylily — Non-stop Golden Blooms from Spring to Fall!

Up to 400 blooms on a single mature plant! Considered by many the finest Daylily ever!

For sheer bloom power and beautiful color, no Daylily surpasses everblooming Stella de Oro! Often the first to begin the Daylily season and the last to end it, Stella blooms for months on end on compact plants 2 feet high and 2 feet wide. The flowers are magnificent–a rich golden-yellow that keeps its color throughout the amazingly long bloomtime. Stella de Oro is America’s favorite Daylily (by a long shot!), and inevitably many Stella imitators have arisen. Be assured that our bareroot plants are vegetatively propagated from the original parent plant, so you get the true Stella. The neat, compact habit makes Stella de Oro perfect for containers, edgings, and the front of the border as well as for mass displays in beds and along driveways or fences. No wonder they named it “”Star of Gold”".

You will treasure this plant in your garden for many years to come.Hardy, permanent, and easy to grow, Daylilies are one of the finest investments you can make in long-lasting garden beauty for minimal effort! Although each bloom lasts only one day, others rise up to take its place, so that each plant blooms for many weeks. They’re made for naturalizing–in fact, you will want to dig them up every 5 or 6 years and divide the big clumps into smaller plants. Not only will you get more plants, but the bloom power will increase after division!A good choice for problem areas where little else grows happily, Daylilies are not fussy about soil and ask only full sun to part shade. They will withstand a lot of neglect and continue to prosper! Zones 4-9 (10 in CA only).”

Tons of color on one of the most heat-tolerant Verbenas. Sissinghurst can handle being planted beside an asphalt driveway… in July! Now that is heat tolerance! It is a fine, low growing ground cover with so many heads of rich rose-pink blooms that you can barely see the foliage from early summer until frost! In a single season one plant spreads into a 4-foot mat in our garden.

Verbenas are superb ground covers remarkable for their dazzling, extravagant color, extraordinarily long season, and superior performance even in hot, exposed locations and poor, dry soils. Available in a range of brilliant hues, they maintain a low, spreading habit that chokes out weeds in any well-drained soil. That same habit makes them a unique choice for hanging baskets and containers. Heat- and drought-tolerant, Verbenas are best grown in full sun and therefore are very easy to grow. Zones 6-10
